Obituary for MIRABAL

Jose "Abran" Mirabal, 77, passed away Sunday, August 21, 2005 after fighting a courageous battle against cancer. He was born February 29, 1928. He left behind his wife, Cecilia Mirabal; eight children: Cynthia Torres and husband, Henry Torres, Rachel Mirabal, Jose Mirabal Jr. and Jeannine Mirabal, David Mirabal and Suzanne Mirabal, Eduardo Mirabal, Richard Mirabal, Marc "Ronnie" Mirabal and companion, Joseph Segura, Praga Mirabal Garcia and husband, Joe Garcia; and Eva Lucero, who he also considered to be his daughter; eight grandchildren: Evelyn and Steve Martinez, Kristin Mirabal and Stephen Montoya, Matthew Mirabal, Andrew Mirabal, Bryan Mirabal, Kevin Mirabal, Meghan Mirabal, Brandon Mirabal; three great-grandchildren: Alayna Martinez, Joshua Montoya, and Olivia Martinez; sister, Felia Romero; and brother, Frank Mirabal. He was preceded in death by his parents: Pedro and Adelina Mirabal; beloved sister, Senaida Maestas; and brother, Bernabel Mirabal. Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 23, 2005 at San Jose Parish, located at 2401 Broadway SE. A Mass celebrating his life will be held on Wednesday, August 24, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. also at San Jose Parish. The family invites you to join us immediately after the Mass at 1922 Cherry Lane NW.
