Obituary for POLANIS

Raymond James Polanis, of Albuquerque, NM, died Sunday, August 14, 2005 after a short illness. He was born Sunday, April 8, 1934 in Denver, CO, the son of Laura Herkett Polanis and Edward Francis Polanis. Mr. Polanis was a 1955 graduate of St. Regis College in Denver and was employed by General Electric for over 30 years. He was a long time active member of the Tanoan Country Club and the New Mexico TTOS Model Railroad Club. Mr. Polanis is survived by his wife, Barbara Polanis; three children, Ms. Christine Ballard of Kingman, AZ, Dr. Rene McEldowney of Auburn AL and Mr. Larry Polanis of Albuquerque, NM; and a granddaughter, Miss Elizabeth McEldowney of Auburn, AL. Funeral Services will be held Monday, August 22, 2005, 10:00 a.m., at French Mortuary, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE with Eulogy by Sam Poxon. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Larry Polanis, K. C. Wilson, Dr. William Hartman, Gary Gross, General Thomas Taylor and George Otero. Friends may visit Sunday, August 21, 2005 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel.
