CECILIA M. Mrs. Cecilia M. Sanchez, aged 90, of Albuquerque, NM passed away Sunday evening ,August 7, 2005 at a local hospital. She was born April 16, 1915 to Roman and Francisca Montoya in Tajique, NM. She married Pedro "Pete" Sanchez on January 4, 1934 in Punta de Agua, NM. He preceded her in death on October 11, 1994 after 60 years of marriage. She is survived by her daughters, Adelaida Sanchez, Rita Andrews, Bernice and her husband, John Lawrence Chavez; her sons, Clem and his wife, Rosemary Sanchez, David and his wife, Armida Sanchez, Lucky and his wife, Lynn Sanchez of Edison, NJ, Ivan Sanchez, Pete Sanchez Jr., Tony and his wife, Nancy Sanchez, Orlando Sanchez, Bobby and his wife, Corinne Sanchez; 17 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by sisters, Clara Barboa, Julianita Candelaria, Brigida Otero; her brothers, Nicolas, Manuel, and Jeremias Montoya. Prior to her death, loving care was provided by her daughter, Rita Andrews. She enjoyed cooking for her family and anyone who happened to drop by her home. She was well known for her posole, pastelitos and her red chile. She also enjoyed dancing with her late husband, Pete at the San Jose Senior Center. She was the heart of her large family and will be greatly missed by them and others. Visitation with the family will be held Wednesday, August 10, 2005 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at French Mortuary-Westside Chapel with the Rosary Service being recited at 6:00 pm on Wednesday. The Funeral Mass for Mrs. Sanchez will be held Thursday, August 11, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. from San Antonio Catholic Church, Tajique, NM. Interment will follow at San Antonio Catholic Cemetery. A reception following the Funeral Service for Mrs. Sanchez will be held at French Mortuary-Westside Reception Center on Thursday, August 11, 2005 from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Pallbearers will be grandchildren and great-grandson, Louie Sanchez, Donald Sanchez, Franklin Sanchez, Ben Aragon, Iric Sanchez, Michael Chavez, and David Sanchez III.
