Sandra Abney, 58, passed away Friday, August 5, 2005 in Albuquerque. She was a beautiful courageous spirit who blessed everyone she met, and will be dearly missed. She was born January 26, 1947 to Homer and Charlotte Bostick. Sandra was a graduate of Highland High School. She received an Associate Degree from the University of Phoenix. She worked in many positions at Presbyterian Hospital for 38 years, including Director of Admitting, and most recently as a Human Resource Manager. Sandra married William Abney, November 23, 1968. They were later divorced but have remained close friends. Survivors include her daughter; Erin; her mother, Charlotte; two sisters: Diane Jones; Debbie and husband, Ron Hetes; many nieces, nephews, numerous friends, and two dear dogs, Lyon and Cleo. She was preceded in death by her significant other, Bob Kern; her brother, Wm. Sam Bostick; and her father. The family wishes to thank everyone for their love and support. Funeral Services will be conducted Thursday, August 11, 2005 at 4:00 p.m. in the French Mortuary West Side Chapel, 9300 Golf Course Rd.
