Obituary for PAULANTIS

Ruth G. Paulantis, 84, died July 15, 2005 after a long illness with pulmonary disease. She was the daughter of Clive M. and Julia T. Geeslen. Ruth lived with her family in Grenada, MS until 1944. She graduated from Mississippi University for Women, and worked as a chemist with City Service Corp. She married James T. Paulantis in Lake Charles, LA in 1945. Upon moving to Albuquerque, Ruth worked as a Home Economics teacher at Jefferson Middle School. She was a member of the Junior League and was active with the Frances Lynn Home Board, a home for unwed mothers, located at that time on the plaza in Old Town. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, James T. Paulantis; her son, James T. Paulantis, Jr.; her grandchildren, Juniper and Jason Paulantis; her brother, O.W. Geeslen and wife, Joyce, of Grenada, MS; sisters-in-law, Helen Sumner and husband, Frank, and Patience McGuire and husband, Sheldon; and many more beloved family and friends. Friends and relatives are invited to a reception at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, July 22, 2005 in the Sun Room of Sunrise Family Options, 7601 Wyoming Blvd. NE. Prior cremation has occurred.
