Obituary for MONTOYA

Delcida "Delcie" Montoya, age 78, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, was called home by our Heavenly Father, Thursday, July 14, 2005. Delcie was a resident of Cuba, NM; and member of the Catholic Church. She loved having her family around her; and enjoyed embroidering. Delcie is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Manuel Montoya; her children, Adela Lucero and husband Arthur, Manuel Montoya and wife Christine, Frances Jacquez and husband Danny, Connie Shapiro and husband Philip, Sylvia Delph and husband Charles, Stephanie Phipps and fiance Mark; 16 grandchildren, Tony, Chris, Robert, Steven, Matthew, Renee, Chantel, Danielle, Tim, Cathy, Adam, Alex, Charles Jr., Gabril, Aaron, and Nicholas; four great-grandchildren, Joshua, Christopher, Michael, and Kyle. Also surviving are three brothers, Leandro Padilla and wife Rebecca, Esequiel Padilla and wife Agnes, Carlos Padilla and wife Mary; three sisters, Rose Lucero, Nancy Herrera and husband Don, Lena Lucero; numerous nieces, nephews, other beloved family members and friends. Delcie will be greatly missed by her loving family. A Rosary will be recited Saturday at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Alameda Mortuary. Another rosary will be arranged for Sunday, place, time, and Funeral Services are pending and will be announced. Pallbearers will be Tony Lucero, Robert Lucero, Steven Lucero, Tim Jacquez, Matthew Montoya, and Aaron Phipps. Funeral Services are entrusted to: 9420 4th Street NW 898-3160
