Bill Raymond Coursey, 70, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on Sunday, July 3, 2005. Bill was born December 23, 1934 in Ballinger, TX. He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He received his Electrical Engineering degree from UNM in 1964 and worked as an Electrical Engineer with the Department of Interior. He retired after 32 years of service during which he received numerous awards for contribution in energy conservation. He was a Master Gardener of the Albuquerque area extension Master Gardener program and was a certified judge of the American Iris Society, a member of the Albuquerque Iris Guild and the New Mexico Iris Society. Bill enjoyed traveling, hunting, fly fishing and loved raising goats for his beloved grandchildren to play with. He devoted his life to genealogy research. Bill is survived by his wife, Linda Sandusky-Coursey; three children, Sandra Ann Carrera and husband Gary, Mike Coursey and wife Debbie, Laura Albright and husband Eric; brothers, George, Jim, and Steve Coursey; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service was held on July 8, 2005 at Sunset Memorial Park in Albuquerque. Arrangements by Vista Verde Mortuary Rio Rancho, New Mexico 892-9920
