Obituary for HUTCHISON

Published in the Albuquerque Journal on Friday July 08, 2005

Betty O. Hutchison 83, of Albuquerque, NM, died at 8:25 p.m., Saturday, July 2, 2005, joining her husband, Col. Robert F. "Hutch" Hutchison who preceded her in death December 12, 1966. She will join Hutch at Santa Fe National Cemetery in a private family ceremony on Friday, July 8, 2005. Following the burial, there will be a reception for all of Betty's friends Friday, at 4:00-5:30 p.m., at Fox and Hound, 4301 The Lane @ I-25 in Albuquerque. Betty is survived by her son, Jim and his wife Rusty; her daughter, Jill; her sister, Bobbye (Lew) Farr; sister-in-law, Mary Lou (Paul) Winkler; grandchildren, Shannon Kreiter (Tibor) and Heather Myers (Kenneth); and four great-grandchildren, Corey, Erin, Kenny, and MacKenzie; and her special friend, Linda Herman. Betty had a zest for life and spent her golden years flying in a hot-air balloon, bungee jumping, white-water rafting, and flying in a steerman, a glider or a helicopter when not playing bridge or bowling. Her family always brought a twinkle to her eye and we are all grateful that she touched our lives, and showed us how to live and die. She will be greatly missed, but her legacy will live on. We love you! Strong-Thorne Mortuary 1100 Coal Ave. SE Albuquerque, NM 87106 (505)842-8800
