Obituary for BOGGESS

Glen Dean Boggess, a native New Mexican, was born May 1, 1947 to Faye and O. E. Boggess of Bosque Farms. He passed away on Sunday, July 3, 2005. He is survived by his wife of thirty-six years, Bobbie Boggess, his two sons and their families; and his brother. Glen attended Bosque Farms Elementary School and Los Lunas High School. He was twice elected president of his 4-H club. As a teenager he ran track and played football while operating a custom farming business. He attended UNM while first working as a truck driver and backhoe operator for Higdon Pipelines, and then for Panhandle Eastern as a materials clerk and hydrostatic tester. Following graduation he worked for thirty years as an investment broker at Clayton Brokerage, A.G. Edwards, Shearson Lehman, and Southwest Securities. After leaving investment brokering, he joined the sales team of Glory USA where he earned Rookie of the Year for the United States, and Outstanding Salesman the following year. He served on the board of The Senior Foundation and was a member of Masonic Temple 6 and the Scottish Rite Temple. Beloved son, husband, father, and friend, he filled our lives with laughter and memories. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 9, 2005 at 3:30 p.m. at French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd., NE.
