Ethel Mae Mock, 93, went home to her Lord on Wednesday, June 29, 2005. Ethel was born September 4, 1911 the daughter of John and Ellen Brabble White in Norfolk, VA. She had worked in retail, in women's clothing, before she retired and came to New Mexico in 1991. Ethel was preceded in death by her first husband, Oswald Mock in 1968, her brother, Leroy Boyd, and her second husband, Theodore Leigh. She is survived by her daughter, Shirley Martin and husband Ernest of Rio Rancho; three grandchildren, Johnnie Herndon III and wife Sharon, Michael Herndon and wife Carolyn, and David Myers and wife Lisa; seven great-grandchildren, Tyshema, Nathaniel, Stephen, Anthony, Janay, Kristina, and Alexandrea; two great-great-grandchildren, Keimani and Ajanay; beloved godson, Phillip Stubbs; and god daughter, Lydia Ferguson. The Visitation for Ethel will be held on Wednesday, July 6, 2005 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Vista Verde Mortuary, Sara Rd. at Meadowlark Ln., Rio Rancho. The Homegoing Ceremony will be held on Thursday, July 7, 2005 at 10:30 a.m. in the Chapel of Vista Verde Mortuary with Reverend Marshall Smith officiating.
