Felix Barela "Bolais", 69, died Friday, July 1, 2005 at a local hospital, after a long struggle with cancer, an illness which also claimed the life of his daughter, Arleen Soberanes. He happily worked most of his life as a vendor at the Flea Market with his wife, Lillian Barela, who survives him. Felix is also survived by his one son, Andrew Barela and wife Linda; two granddaughters, Andrea Barela, Chrystal and James Wood; two brothers, Juan Barela and wife Sylvia, Orlando Barela and wife Marcella; three sisters, Mary Mora and husband Bernie, Helen Perez and husband Frank, Yolanda Alderete and husband Paul; three brothers-in-law, Diego Armijo, Faustino Armijo, Ronnie Sanchez and wife Barbara. He was a wonderful uncle and friend to many. A memorial service will be held at Three Angels Seventh Day Adventist Church, 10570 Sunset Gardens SW, at the corner of Sunset Gardens and 114th St., on Tuesday, July 5, 2005 at 6:30p.m. Arrangements by: Direct Funeral Services, 2919 4th St. NW.
