Mary C. Etheredge, 89, a resident of Edgewood, NM since 1994, died peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family and sustained by her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ until He called her home on Wednesday, June 29, 2005. She was born December 1, 1915 in Montgomery, AL to Fred E. and Thelma Sanderson Turnipseed. Mary and her husband, CH spent the majority of their life in Alabama but moved to Albuquerque in 1982. She was a loving, generous, and unselfish wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend who will be missed very much by all whose lives she touched. She is survived by her daughter, Evelyn Diane Day and husband, David E. Day of Edgewood, NM; sons, Clarence Holloway "Sonny" Etheredge, Jr. of Brewton, AL and James Randall Etheredge and wife, Donna J. of Cullman, AL; sister, Ethel M. Burnette of Birmingham, AL; 12 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Clarence Holloway "CH" Etheredge, Sr.; grandson, Steven Turner Day, and brother, Fred E. Turnipseed Jr. Services will be held Saturday, July 2, 2005, 2:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE, with Pastor Stanley Blake of Good News Baptist Church officiating.
