Charlene Mullens Craig, a resident of Albuquerque since 1960, was born on November 21, 1927 in Kennett, MO, and died on Wednesday, June 29, 2005. As an infant she lost her parents and was raised by her grandmother. She grew up in Memphis, TN where she met and married her husband, Bill on August 12, 1950. Charlene was a devout Christian her entire life, and she loved her church. For twenty-five years she was a member of Assistance League of Albuquerque and worked many hours as a volunteer in the League's Thrift Shop. She is survived by her husband, Bill; her daughter, Cindy Houston and husband Joe; grandchildren Matthew and Caitlin; her son, Frank and wife Yvonne; and granddaughter Annalise. Memorial services will be held on Sunday, July 3, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at Heights Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 8600 Academy Rd. NE, 87111. Memorials in Charlene's honor may be made to Assistance League of Albuquerque, PO Box 35910, 87110-9998, or to Heights Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
