Emilia J. Romero, 86, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great- great-grandmother, sister, and friend was called home to be with the Lord June 25, 2005. Mrs. Romero is lifetime resident of New Mexico. She was born in Albuquerque, NM to Nestor and Lucy Jaramillo. Emilia was preceded in death by her husband, Sifredo Romero; sons, Louie and Leroy Romero; grandson, Frankie Romero; and brothers, Felix Jaramillo, Candido Jaramillo, and Max Chavez. She is survived by her children, Valois Romero, Helen Barreras, Ernestine Romero, and Jeanette Fierrro and husband Luis; brothers, Libby Jaramillo and wife Fina, Johnny Jaramillo and wife Martie, Robert Jaramillo and wife Lucy, and Richard Jaramillo and wife Angie; 12 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by her loving family. A Rosary will be recited Tuesday evening June 28, 2005 at 7:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Bernalillo, NM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday morning June 29, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Bernalillo, NM with burial to follow at Cerros Cuates on the family ranch. Pallbearers will be Antonio Jaramillo, Richard Barreras, Michael Barreras, Frank Barreras, Sigfredo Romero and Jonathan Griego.
