RONALD M. VALENCIA, age 57, passed away in Albuquerque on Wednesday, June 22, 2005. He was diagnosed with Huntington's Disease. He was preceded in death by his mother, Della Franz; great-grandmother, Julia Benavidez; aunt, Juliette Mente. He is survived by his wife, Rosa Q. Valencia of Albuquerque; sons: Christopher A. Valencia wife Jamie of Albuquerque, Miguel R. Valencia and fiancee Sarah of Albuquerque; father, Joe Valencia wife Celia of Albuquerque; brother: Frank Valencia wife Lisa of Albuquerque; sister, Cindy Sain and husband Steve of California, Peggy Megginson and husband Rich of Albuquerque, Juan Carlos Mascarenas of Cerro, NM. Ron was a father figure and mentor to many young people including: Quatro Gillis, Pete Bolton, George Escamilla, Pietro Berardinelli and numerous nephews, nieces, aunts/uncles cousins, and many friends in Albuquerque, Santa Fe and Pecos. He married his sweetheart in 1989. Academic accomplishments: He attended St. Michael's high school, received his bachelors degree in government from New Mexico State University, Jurisprudence doctorate from University of New Mexico in 1982. Ron was "Champion for the underdog", fraternal memberships: New Mexico State Bar. Former officer Board of Director's "La Compania Theatro." A Rosary on Sunday, June 26, 2005 at 7:00 p.m. at Berardinelli Family Chapel. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, June 27, 2005 at 11:00 .a.m. St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Pecos, New Mexico. Interment will follow at (Pecos Cemetery). Pallbearers: George Escamilla, Pietro Berardinelli, Carl Tsosie, Pete Boulton, Al Carbajal and David McNeece. Honorary Pallbearers: Quatro Gillis, and John Mascarenas.
