Obituary for GROGLIO

Gerald W. Groglio, 82, passed away on June 17, 2005. Gerald was born February 14, 1923 and raised in Rye, NY. He graduated from Rye High School. WW II veteran, served in European Theater - Battle of Normandy at Omaha Beach. After an honorable discharge, he returned to school majoring in electronics. An avid golfer his entire life, he spent over 20 years happily retired, golfing and making wonderful friends in sunny New Mexico. He was preceded in death by one son, Gerald Michael; his parents, Jerry and Mary Groglio; and two brothers, William and Joseph. Gerald is survived by his wife of 57 years, Terri; son, Neil and wife Marcia; daughter, Kathy and husband John; three grandchildren, Kelly, Christopher, and John; brothers, Nicholas, George, and John; and sister, Angela Anderson. He's just a common Veteran & his ranks are growing thin. If we cannot do him Honor, while he's here to hear the Praise. Then at least let's give him homage, at the ending of his days, Our country is in mourning for a Veteran died today. The Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, June 24, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Final resting place will be in the National Cemetery in Santa Fe. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Sandia Lovelace Hospice, 5403 Gibson Blvd., Albuquerque, NM 87108 would be greatly appreciated.
