Obituary for PARKER

Muriel "Penny" Parker, 81, a resident of Albuquerque since 1970, passed away on Monday, May 30, 2005 surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Henry L. Parker; sister, Jan; brother, Bill; daughter, Cynthia; her children, Kari, Mollie, Abbi, Evan, and Spencer; son, Jeffery and wife Karin; his children, James, Jordan, and Staci, and his stepson, Chris. She was preceded in death by her brother Darrel. Born August 9, 1923 in Minneapolis, MN, Muriel joined the Navy in 1944, two days after D-Day. She met and married Henry in 1947 and continued to follow and support her husband's military career all around the world. Muriel was an active member in both WAVES and the Elks Club. She was a loving and dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. She was truly adored and loved by all those that she encountered throughout her life. Services will be held on Thursday, June 2, 2005 at 7:30 p.m. at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel. Interment will follow on Friday, June 3, 2005 at 11:30 a.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Friends may visit French Mortuary on Thursday, June 2, 2005 from 6:30 p.m. until time of service.
