Bonnie Marian Evatt Cordell, age 94, of Albuquerque, died and went to be with her Lord on Monday, May 30, 2005. She was born to Mitchell and Antee Evatt in Waldron, AR on Friday, July 29, 1910. She married Eursell S. Cordell in 1929 and they raised their children in Oklahoma and California. She taught elementary school in Kansas, California, and New Mexico. She trusted Christ as her Savior at the age of 12 years. Throughout her life, she wholeheartedly served Him through active participation in her local church. She was an active member of Hoffmantown Baptist Church for many years. In her retirement years, she joined with her husband, Eursell, in 18 mission trips all over the world. She is survived by daughter, Marian Jo Davis of Albuquerque; daughter, Jane Cordell Wright of Springfield, MO; and son, C. David Cordell of Littleton, CO; brother, Tom Evatt of Anchorage, AK; ten grandchildren, Lillian Moon and husband Danny, Larry Davis and wife Carrie, Cindy Chasteen and husband Chris, Renee Lynch and husband David, Robert Simmons and wife Kathy, Sheri Brady, Jerald Wright, Mark McGuckin and wife Lori, Nancy Henkel and husband Kevin, Scott McGuckin and wife Janelle; 18 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eursell; a son, Eursell, Jr.; and a daughter, Jean McGuckin. A Memorial Service will be held Friday, June 3, 2005 at 3:00 pm, at French Mortuary 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE with grandson, Pastor Larry Davis officiating. The family will be receiving friends Thursday, June 2, 2005 from 6:00-9:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, Wyoming Chapel.
