Connie Sarah Spina a resident of Rio Rancho, passed away on Wednesday, May 18, 2005. Connie was born November 24, 1940 the daughter of Joseph Louis and Mary Louise Orlando Surace in Rochester, NY. She was a devoted housewife and loving mother. Connie was a member of the Italian American Club of Rio Rancho. Connie was preceded in death by her husband Raymond James Spina in 2003. She is survived by her father, Joseph Louis Surace of Santa Cruz, CA; daughters, Renay V. Spina and Maria L. Castellano and her husband Mark; sister, Serine Cordaro; brother, Vincent Surace and wife Maggie; three grandchildren, Sarah M. Burgess, Marcos A. Castellano, and Miguel A. Castellano; and many nieces and nephews. We would like to give special thanks and love to our uncle Joseph P. Spina and wife Donna for all their love and support. The Visitation for Connie will be held today, Friday, May 20, 2005 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. with the Rosary being recited at 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Sunrise Funeral Options, 2400 Southern Blvd., Rio Rancho with Deacon Manuel Montoya reciting the Rosary. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, May 21, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Vista Verde Mortuary, Sara Rd. at Meadowlark Ln., Rio Rancho with Fr.
