John Ruben Romero, 78, devoted husband, father, and grandfather, was called home by our Heavenly Father May 18, 2005 at his home in Albuquerque. He was born in Dixon, NM on November 19, 1926. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Pauline; his children, Nelson Romero and wife Mona, Diana Chavez and husband Edward, and Carmen Murdoch. John will be truly missed by his eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his sons Ruben, Alex, and David; and daughter Mary Martha. The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to all relatives and friends, Church of God, and Zia Hospice for their support and prayers during this difficult time. "WE LOVE YOU JOHNNIE. Funeral Services for John will be held Friday, May 20, 2005 at 7:00 p.m. at Salazar & Sons Mortuary and Saturday, May 21, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. at the Power House of God Church, 6235 Churchill Road SW.
