Obituary for GREEN

Polly Green, age 82, a resident of Belen, NM, passed away peacefully in her home, surrounded by her family, on May 18, 2005. Polly and her husband, Elton were married February 14, 1937. Polly and Elton farmed and ranched north of Clovis, NM. Her hobbies included gardening, and she was known for her beautiful array of red geraniums in her front yard. Polly was an avid golfer; she enjoyed the horse races and the company of her many friends. She and Elton enjoyed traveling throughout the U.S. and Europe. Of all the things in her life her pride and joy were her grandchildren. Polly enjoyed a full long life. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elton Green of Clovis; one daughter, Kay Green; and two infant sons. Polly is survived by her daughter, Jan Gentry of Belen; four granddaughters, Jamie Provencio of Grady, NM, Kelli Page of Belen, Joei Williams of Belen, and Lezli Williams of Albuquerque; and six great-grandchildren. Services will be held at Romero Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, May 21, 2005. The viewing will be held at 8:30 a.m. followed by the Funeral Service at 9:00 a.m. Graveside Services will follow at Grady County Cemetery in Clovis, NM, at 2:00 p.m. Pallbearers will be Max Fraze, Danny Henry, Ray Starbuck, Larry Burnett, Mike Burnett, and Jim Webb.
