Katherine A. Riley died May 16, 2005 in Grand Junction, CO; she was 58 years old. She battled breast cancer, and in the end it took her life, but Kathy never allowed her cancer to control her life. Since returning to Grand Junction in 1999 Kathy was the practice administrator for the doctors Rottman and Grey at the Eye Center of Colorado West; prior to that she was with the Student Health Center at the University of New Mexico. There will not be a formal service; Kathy asked that her friends gather and celebrate her life in their own way. Rather than flowers, memorial donations should be made in Kathy's name to the Grand Valley Audubon Society, Habit Acquisition Fund, PO Box 1211 Grand Junction, CO 81502. She has climbed to the top of the mountain, and beyond, and she is waiting for us.
