Obituary for PHILLIPS

Joseph O. Phillips, 87 passed away April 24, 2005 in Surprise, Arizona. He was born in Florence, Alabama. He served as a Bombardier in the Pacific Theater. He was a mechanical engineer and lifelong Democrat who enjoyed fishing at Heron lake. Survived by his wife, Helen; children, Larry Phillips and wife, Nora, Karen Wilson and husband, Johnny, and Joey Phillips; two brothers, James Phillips and wife, Louise, JT Phillips and wife, Betty; and two sisters, Alma Darby and Marceline Carpenter; also many nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, May 19, at 1:00 p.m. at the North Hills Senior Community Clubhouse, 7200 North Hills Blvd NE with Les Carter officiating.
