Sostena Duran, a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to many passed away on Thursday, May 12, 2005. Sostena is survived by her daughter, Rennee Duran and husband, Charles Ortiz; sons, Leo Duran and Terry, Carlos Duran and wife, Denise, and Andrew Duran and wife, Joann all of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Tito, Diego, Lisa, Catalina, Sacheena, and Marianita; great-grandchild, Andres; brother, Longinos Trujillo and wife, Oralia; numerous nieces and nephews; and many special friends. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Carlos Duran. Sostena served the community as a nurse for many years, where she touched many lives. She loved spending time with her family, shopping, traveling, and also gardening. She was a member of the San Martin Catholic Church. Her smile will be deeply missed by all who knew her. We love you mom. A Memorial Rosary will be held on Friday, May 13, 2005, 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel. Interment will follow on Monday, May 16, 2005, 10:30 a.m., at Santa Fe National Cemetery. A Memorial Mass will be held at a later date. French Mortuary 1111 University Blvd. NE 843-6333
