Jacobo Gonzales, age 53, passed away at home, Saturday, May 7, 2005, after a long battle with cancer. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dennis and Maria Gonzales, and he is survived by his children, Shirley and Desire; grandchildren, Able and Shantel; sister, Maria Gonzales; brothers, Joe Gonzales, Barney Gonzales, Steve Gonzales, and Charles L. Gonzales; other family members and friends who loved and will miss him. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 13, 2005 at St. Edwin Catholic Church, 2105 Barcelona Rd. SW. Burial will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery, at 2:30 p.m., with U.S. Marine Honors. His nephew, Amiel Jacob Serna will serve as honorary pallbearer.
