Gloria Ortega, 52, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, May 6, 2005 after a battle with cancer. Gloria is survived by her fiance, Tomas Martinez; her daughter, Cindy Whitehead and husband Rafael; grandson, Devon; by her son, Andrew Gonzales who is in the U.S. Navy currently serving in Fallujah, Iraq. She is also survived by her mother, Socorro Baca of Santa Rosa; four brothers, Caledon and Gerald Baca of Santa Rosa, John Baca of Tucumcari, Don Baca of Maxwell; six sisters, Candi Lucero of Milagro, Alice Marquez and Anna Baca of Santa Rosa, Lillian Carrasco of Clifton, AZ, Frances Salas of Rowe, and Luisa Ulibarri of Bloomfield; and many nephews and nieces. A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, May 10, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at Calvary Chapel, 4001 Osuna Rd. NE with Pastor Neil Ortiz officiating.
