Dorothy Mae Calkins Halcomb Jennings, 90, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away Monday, May 9, 2005. She is survived by her two children, Kathie A. Linn of Albuquerque and Robert A. Halcomb and wife, Donna of Longmont, CO; three step-children, Cynthia Smith of Scottsdale, AZ, Henry B. Jennings IV and wife, Kay of Missoula, MT and William Jennings of Kimball, NE; two brothers, Raymond J. Calkins and wife, Betty of Lincoln, NE and Robert C. Calkins and wife, Harriet of Ft. Collins, CO; 14 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Dorothy was preceded in death by her first husband, LaVerne Halcomb in 1961 and her second husband, Henry B. Jennings III in 2002. She was also predeceased by her grandson, Patrick Halcomb, and her sister, Marcelline Randall. Ms. Jennings was a member of P.E.O. and enjoyed golf and bridge. She sang in her church choir and for the Leisure World Chorus in Arizona. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service for Dorothy will be Thursday, May 12, 2005 at 4:00 p.m. at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, 9500 Constitution NE with Pastor Roy Elmore officiating. An additional Memorial Service and Interment will take place in Kimball, NE at a later date. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Presbyterian-Kaseman Hospice for the gentle loving care provided.
