Marvin G. Pettine, a longtime resident of Las Vegas, NM and former resident of Albuquerque, NM passed away on Wednesday, April 20, 2005. He was born in Las Vegas, NM on October 18, 1939 to Albert Pettine and Theresa Weathers. He attended and graduated from Albuquerque High School in 1958. He will be remembered as a man with a strong spirituality, a quick wit, and a generous heart. His zest for life was huge. He was preceded in death by his parents: Albert and Theresa Pettine; his daughter: Karen Pettine Martinez. He is survived by his loving wife: Karen C. Pettine of the family home in Las Vegas, NM; special aunt: Elizabeth Pettine Johnson of Albuquerque, NM; daughters: Kelly Farley and husband, Robert and Kristian Pettine, all of Albuquerque, NM, and Jeanne Aragon of Las Vegas, NM; son: Brian Szydlik and wife, Cristin of Portland, OR; son-in-law: Sam Martinez of Las Vegas, NM; five grandchildren; sister: Geraldine Shackelford of Hacienda Heights, CA; special relatives in Albuquerque: Wilfred and Yvonne Pettine Padilla and family, Jim and Keta Valdez and family, Betty Macklin Hoover and family, Henry and Janice Pettine and family, and Helen Gaeta and family all of Albuquerque, NM; and nieces and nephews: Mike, Ronnie Albert, Shirley, and Yvette Sena, and Chad and Brian Padilla and family. Cremation has taken place. Rosary devotional services will be conducted on Monday evening at 7:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Church. Funeral Services will be conducted on Tuesday morning at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Church with Father C. John Brasher as celebrant.
