Obituary for JACKSON

Norma S. Jackson, a longtime resident of New Mexico, died Thursday, April 21, 2005. Norma was born and raised in Albuquerque. She and John lived in Grants, NM for 15 years before returning to Albuquerque in 1979. Norma is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, John, daughter, Jennifer Rose Buffington and husband Mikel; sons, Ralph Jeffrey Jackson and wife Beth; Charles Lawrence Jackson and wife Shelly; sister, Eugenia Rendace and husband Mike; brothers, Lawrence Selva, Ralph Selva and wife Shirley, and Charles Selva; grandchildren, Nicholas Jackson, Rebecca Jackson, Hubert Jackson, Riley Jackson, Cristina Buffington, and Julie Buffington; niece, Katherine Berkebile; nephews, Matthew Rendace, Mitchell Rendace, Stanley Selva, Brad Selva, and Cole Selva. Norma was an avid tennis player. She taught catechism for 18 years and was a substitute teacher in Grants. She also worked with the Hospital Auxiliary in Grants. A Rosary will be recited Sunday, April 24, 2005 at 7:00 p.m. in Palm Chapel of Strong-Thorne Mortuary. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, April 25, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Norma's family would like to thank Lovelace Hospice for all they did throughout her illness. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of choice.
