Obituary for SELVING

Benjamin T. Selving, M.D. was born July 17, 1925 in Copenhagen, Denmark. He died Thursday March 24, 2005. He was a veteran of World War II. He graduated from University of Michigan School of Medicine. In 1959, Dr. Selving moved to Albuquerque where he was the chairman of the neurology department at the Lovelace Clinic for 17 years before going into individual practice. He was the only neurologist in the state for several years. As a member of the staff at Lovelace Clinic, he participated in the physical evaluation of the Project Mercury astronauts. Dr. Selving was an accomplished fine art photographer. He is survived by his wife, Robbie Selving; his son, Bryan; daughters, Jan, Kim, and Jill; and his grandchildren, Dana and Andrew Selving.
