Emily Marquez, January 2, 1935 to March 31, 2005, age 70, went to eternity with our God. Beloved wife of 50 years to Clyde Marquez. Mother of five: Theresa and husband, Jesse Vigil; Clarence Marquez; Lillian and husband, Robert Herrera Sr.; Martin Marquez Sr.; and Deborah Marquez-Savedra. Grandmother of eight: Rosalinda Vigil, Jesse Vigil Jr., Felicia Vigil; Brian Herrera, Robert Herrera; Martin Marquez Jr.; Joshua Savedra, and Jonathan Savedra. Great-grandmother of Justin Barros. Emily was a life-long reborn Christian and worshiped our LORD with her husband at Calvary Chapel in Albuquerque. Her favorite saying was, "LOVE ONE ANOTHER." She enjoyed long walks with her husband and visiting with family and friends. A visitation will be held Monday night, April 4, 2005 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., followed by a Christian Service held at 7:00 p.m. at Salazar & Sons Mortuary. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, April 5, 2005 also at Salazar & Sons Mortuary where the Christian Service will begin at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Santa Fe, NM at the National Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. phone (505) 988-6400. Pallbearers will be her grandchildren. Family requests that no flowers be sent. In memory of Emily Marquez any memorial gifts may be made to the UNM Cancer Research & Treatment Center. Make checks payable to UNM CRTC and indicate on check donation is in tribute to Emily Marquez.
