Obituary for WALKER

L. Norman Walker. Norm Walker passed away Tuesday, March 22, 2005, at the age of 73, after a long battle with cancer. Norm was a loving husband and a good friend to anyone who was fortunate enough to have met him. He was born on December 23, 1931 in Mansfield, OH. He retired in 1987 and moved to Albuquerque after being the Finance Director for the City of Mansfield for 17 years. He also served his country by enlisting in the Air Force and was a Korean War veteran. Norm is survived by his wife of 36 years, Barbara Bunsey Walker; his brother, Robert Walker of Akron, OH; his two sisters, Joan Betz of Kansas City, MO, and Cheryl Duncan of Akron, OH; two daughters, Deborah and Janet Walker; two adopted grandchildren; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to The Animal Humane Society at 615 Virginia SE in Albuquerque, NM 87108. The Memorial Service will be held at Ontario's Wappner Funeral Home in Mansfield, OH on March 29, 2005 at 1:00 p.m.
