Cecile Powell, 51, a resident of Albuquerque, was born on December 17, 1953 in San Diego, CA, and died on Friday, March 25, 2005. She is survived by five sisters and one brother, Rita Ward, Maureen Gardner and husband, Whit, Lizabeth Jones and husband, Barry, Theresa Schumann and husband, Mark, Suzanne Powell and husband, Ed Vaillancourt, and Thomas Powell and wife, Lee Ann; and numerous nieces, nephews, and family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas H. and Ann Powell. Cecile was a Registered Nurse for over 25 years and an accomplished writer. She was active in the Catholic Church as a member and a volunteer, and also volunteered in the Albuquerque Community. A Prayer Vigil will be recited on Tuesday, March 29, 2005 at 7:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel. Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 30, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church, 815 Guaymas Pl. NE, 87108. Friends may visit French Mortuary on Tuesday, March 29, 2005 from 5:00 p.m. until time of rosary.
