Obituary for PAUL

George Everet Paul, Jr., 80, a resident of Albuquerque, died Wednesday, March 23, 2005. He is survived by his wife, Louise M. "Lou" Paul; daughter, Susan Kochis; and grandson, Matthew Kochis and his wife, Linnea, all of Albuquerque. He was preceded in death by his parents, George E. Paul and Maude S. Paul. Mr. Paul was a Combat veteran of WWII, Amphibious Forces, South Pacific. He was a 1950 graduate of UNM College of Engineering. He played hockey for the Univ. of Alaska and was a member of the University of Alaska Alumni Assoc. He retired as the Public Works Engineer with the City of Albuquerque after 28 years of service. He retired as a Professional Engineer & Land Surveyor of NM. He was a member of the Elks, VFW, former member & past president of NM Chapter American Public Works Assoc., former member and director of Keep New Mexico Beautiful, former member of ASTM, former member of NSPE, former member of CSM, a member of the Animal Humane Assoc., and a member of AARP. Cremation has taken place and memorial services will be held Tuesday, March 29, 2005, 12:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE, with Lt. Col. Lemuel Boyles, USAF (Ret.) officiating. Interment of cremated remains will take place at 3:00 p.m., at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the New Mexico Boys and Girls Ranch, 6209 Hendrix NE, 87110 or to Parkinson's Disease Foundation, 710 W. 168th Street, New York, NY, 10032.
