Obituary for JONES

David C. Jones, age 50, passed away on March 18, 2005. He was born on January 29, 1955 in Ankara, Turkey. He was the oldest son of Craig S. Jones and Regina V. Jones. He is survived by a sister, Karen M. Jones; and a brother, Jeffery N. Jones both of Albuquerque. David was employed at Sandia Laboratories and was a recipient of two distinguished awards for his achievements. He retired from the New Mexico Air National Guard. He was the youngest Staff Sergeant in the entire National Air Guard Bureau. He was awarded two commendations medals and a Meritorious Service Medal. He retired with rank of Master Sergeant. The greatest highlight in his life was to go aboard President J.F.K.'s plane at age 8. History and geology were of great interest. He was an avid reader. He loved to ride his motorcycles, working with wood and ornamental iron was his enjoyment. He adored his two dogs, a springer spaniel and a spinone. He was a fantastic cook. There's not much he could not do. He will be greatly missed. Cremation has taken place and private services were held.
