Obituary for TULL

Nadine Yvonne Kinder Tull, age 79 and a resident of Bosque Farms, NM for over 52 years, passed away March 14, 2005, at Presbyterian Kaseman Hospital after a long courageous battle against cancer. She was born January 19, 1926 in Lamar, CO to Delaney C. and Freida V. (King) Kinder. She was a 1943 graduate of Las Animas High School, Las Animas, CO. Nadine began a career as a civil servant in Albuquerque, NM at what was then Sandia Base in April 1949, when she went to work at the Base Housing Office. John Tull, Sr., her husband, had remained a Naval Reservist during this time and was recalled to active duty a second time for Korean War service in 1950. He and Nadine then spent the next two years on Kodiak Island, off Alaska, where he ran the base print shop. John and Nadine returned to Albuquerque in August of 1952, moved to Bosque Farms and resumed their jobs at Sandia Base with Nadine continuing her job helping military families new to the area with a critical need's housing. She retired in June 1974 as the Base Housing Project manager after more than 25 years of distinguished service. Nadine is survived by: husband John T. Tull, Sr., Belen, NM; a son, Commander John T. Tull, Jr. (USN, Ret.) and wife Linda of Bosque Farms, NM; three brothers: Ken Kinder and wife ,Ida of Boise, ID; Keith Kinder and wife, Pat of Boise, ID; and Charlie Kinder of Seattle, WA, and two grandchildren: Tamera Scorpio and husband, Jason of Fort Polk, LA and John T. Tull, III and girlfriend, Miranda Groomes of San Diego, CA, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Geraldine (Jeri) E. Murphy and Connie E. Roberson; and her niece, Kimberly J. Kinder. A Memorial Service will be held in Palm Chapel at Strong-Thorne Mortuary on Saturday, March 19, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, 10501 Montgomery Blvd NE, Suite 300, Albuquerque, NM 87111, or to the Hospice of your choice.
