Meres Griego, 86, a life-long resident of New Mexico, died Monday, March 14, 2005. She is survived by her son, Rey Griego and his wife, Sally of Tijeras; grandchildren, Norma Wilson and husband, Stanley, Chris Griego and wife, Brenda, Bryan Griego and wife, Veronica, Brenda Griego and husband, Matt Anderson, Rey Griego, Jr., and Bridget Griego and fiance, Randy Priddy; ten great-grandchildren; and brother, Arturo Martinez and wife, Flora. Meres was preceded in death by her husband, Roman Griego and son, Blas Griego. She was born in San Antonio, NM. Meres was an active member of Holy Child Catholic Church. Her family came first in her life, and she kept them in her prayers daily. She was a beloved mother, grandma, and great-grandmother and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. A Rosary will be recited Wednesday, March 16, 2005, 7:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd Chapel, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE with Eva Garcia reciting. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday, March 17, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Child Catholic Church, 19 Camino del Santo Nino, Tijeras, NM. Pallbearers will be Chris Griego, Bryan Griego, Rey Griego, Jr., Stanley Wilson, Matt Anderson, and Randy Priddy. Interment will follow at Cedro Cemetery in Tijeras.
