Rufino Martinez Sr., a resident of Albuquerque, went to be with the Lord, Friday, March 11, 2005 at the age of 77. Rufino was a U.S. Army Veteran, having served in WWII. He is survived by his son, Rufino Jr. and wife, Ida; two granddaughters, Gerlene and Leslie; two great-granddaughters, Monique and Shantel; two brothers, Selez and Raymond; one sister, Bene Devine; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends who loved and will miss him. Memorial services will be held at St Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 816 Broadway Blvd. SE, on Wednesday, March 16, 2005. A Rosary will be recited at 9:00 a.m. followed by the Mass of Christian Burial being celebrated at 10:00 a.m. The family will have a reception immediately following the Mass, in the Parish Hall.
