Robert B. Starnes, Jr., 62, a resident of Albuquerque, died Saturday, March 5, 2005. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Frances Starnes of the family home; daughters, Alison Shafer and husband, Jason of Portland, OR and Emily Starnes of Washington, DC; brother, Charles R. Starnes of Orlando, FL; and grandson, Corwynn Shafer. Robert was certified as Double Distinguished in both rifle and pistol from the US Department of Civilian Marksmanship. Services will be held Tuesday, 10:00 a.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel. Friends may visit French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. to time of service. The family requests that black clothing not be worn to the service.
