Vita Cacciuttolo, passed away on February 25, 2005. She was born on September 1, 1920 in Brooklyn, NY to Michael and Rose Taromina. She was a long time resident of Rio Rancho, coming from Long Island (Brentwood), NY in 1977. Vita was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Church, a member of the Meadowlark Senior Center, and the Italian American Club in Rio Rancho where she enjoyed running the bingo games. Vita was a talented artist, loved playing cards, especially poker, and enjoyed visiting casinos, both here and in Las Vegas. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Vita was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Salvatore; her son, Michael; and brother, Frank. She is survived by her loving daughters, Roseann Jones, Yolanda Martin, Carol York and husband Charles, and Gina Duda; her sister, Catherine Maccagnano; ten grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held for Vita on Tuesday, March 1, 2005 from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the chapel of Vista Verde Mortuary (Sara Rd. at Meadowlark Lane) in Rio Rancho, with the Rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 2, 2005 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Rio Rancho. Entombment will immediately follow at Vista Verde Memorial Park. Memorial donations may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 N. Parkway, Memphis, TN, 38105.
