Dr. Robert E. Steider, a longtime resident of Albuquerque and Red River, NM went to join his Lord February 21, 2005. Dad was born to Sam and Emma Steider on March 22, 1924 in Eureka, IL. Bob was the loving husband of Opal Steider, Dad to Kristen Latham and husband Gerald, Robert S. Steider and wife Brenda, Tim Steider and wife Amy, and Corie Sands. He was Papa to 26 grandchildren and Great Papa to 11 great-grandchildren. His sister, Nelle Skinner of Northbrook, IL is his sole surviving sibling. His wife, Elfriede Steider preceded him in death. Dr. Bob Steider practiced medicine in Albuquerque during the 1950s, 60s, and 70s until he retired to Red River and became a Realtor. In 1998 he moved to Sun City West, Arizona for a well-earned retirement. A celebration Memorial Service will be held at Sandia Presbyterian Church at 10704 Paseo Del Norte NE on Sunday February 27, 2005 at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please send any donations to Santa Maria El Mirador - 2041 South Pacheco, Suite 100 Santa Fe, NM 87505 (SMEM provides options for people with different abilities), or the charity of your choice.
