Minnie R. Garcia, 87, died Thursday, February 24, 2005. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Tony Garcia of Albuquerque; daughter, Loretta Sanchez of Albuquerque; grandsons, Robert Sanchez and wife, Lori, and Richard Sanchez all of Albuquerque; great-grandchildren, Joshua, Zachary, Noah, and Daniel, all of Albuquerque; sisters, Mary Luna of Albuquerque and Ida Pacheco of Salida, CO; and many nieces and nephews. Minnie was preceded in death by her infant son, Leonard Garcia. Minnie was a granddaughter of Jacob Krummick, the first pharmacist in Santa Fe. Her aunt was married to Miguel Chavez, the founder of St. Michael's College of Santa Fe. She was a long time member to Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church. Rosary will be recited on Sunday, 3:00 p.m., Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, 9502 4th Street NW. Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, 9:00 a.m., Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church. Interment will follow at San Carlos Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Robert Sanchez, Richard Sanchez, Patrick Garcia, Jake Tafoya, Fred Pena, and Polo Lovato.
