Obituary for FERGUSON

Wanda Maurine (Wolf) Ferguson died in Albuquerque on Monday, February 21, 2005 at age 90. She was born on August 13, 1914 in Roswell, NM, the youngest child of Joseph E. and Emma Mae (Bowers) Wolf. She attended Oklahoma A&M, where she met and married Thomas Harold Ferguson on February 22, 1934. Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, husband; Harold; son, John; and sister, Twila Biggs; and brothers, Elmo and Bill. She is survived by a son, Tom Ferguson; and a daughter, Patricia Heydt, both of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Rick Meleski, Corin Wood, Mike Meleski, Steve Meleski, Nick Meleski, and Melanie Trujillo; great-grandchildren, Daniel, Andrew, Jared, Christee, and Miranda; and great-great-grandchildren, Della Marie and Angel Mary. She also left many nephews and nieces. Wanda lived in Roswell until 1994, when she moved to Albuquerque. She had been a member of New Mexico Quilters Association, a charter member of Pecos Valley Quilters, a life-long member of the Presbyterian church, where she served as a deacon. She enjoyed gardening and doing things with family. She loved to travel, visiting Europe, Canada, Hawaii, and much of the United States on various jaunts with family and friends. She had a beautiful smile and a wonderful sense of humor. No services are planned. Her cremated remains will be placed in the family plot in Roswell at a later date.
