Obituary for CORDOVA

Ana Cordova, 78, went home to be with the Lord on February 25, 2005. She was born in Dawson, NM on October 7, 1926. She was know as a Dawson historian who was very fond and proud of Dawson. She is survived by her sister in law and casino partner, Elvira Cordova; Raymond Gutierrez, Cynthia Gutierrez, Carmen Gutierrez, and Ron Gutierrez who were nieces and nephews that she helped raise. Ana had a very special place in her heart for all of her nieces and nephews as well as all children. She is also survived by many, many other nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by her loving family. Visitations will be held on Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. with a Rosary to follow at 10:00 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. The Rosary will be led by Orlinda Castellano and her neighborhood prayer group. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. also at the Church. Burial will follow at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Leon Cordova, Vincent Cordova, Ronnie Gutierrez, Raymond Gutierrez, Ted Cordova, and Dan C de Baca. Honorary pallbearers will be Mary Johnson, Francis Rivera, Candelario and Orlinda Castellano, Carmen Gutierrez, and all of her beloved nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Valle del Norte and the University Hospital TSU, for the care and respect that they showed to Ana.
