Abelina de Garcia Maestas, age 97, of Albuquerque passed away on February 18, 2005 at home with her family. She was born June 21, 1907 to Gabriel and Isabelita Garcia of El Porvenir, NM. She is preceded in death by her husband Rosendo Maestas, and her two children, Dolorita Maestas, and Augustin Maestas. She is survived by her three sons, Richard Maestas, Enrique Maestas and wife, Elena, Roger Maestas and wife, Mary; her three daughters, Corina Maestas and husband, Jose, Rosalie Padilla and husband, Eugene, Eva Fisher and husband, Silver; 40 grandchildren; 75 great-grandchildren; and six great-great- grandchildren. There will be a visitation on Wednesday February 23, 2005 from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Sunrise. The Rosary will be recited 7:00 p.m. also at the Chapel of Sunrise. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church on Thursday February 24, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. followed by interment at Mount Calvary Cemetery.
