Elvira M. Antuna de Romero went home to be with the Lord on February 14, 2005 at the age of 83. She was born on June 21, 1921 in Las Vegas, NM. She is preceded in death by her husband, Perfecto W. Romero. Elvira was a retiree from Sandia National Labs, was a member of Holy Ghost Catholic Church, St. Vincent de Paul, and Secretary on the Board of Directors for the Thunderbirds. She is survived by her brother, Maurilio "Bud" Antuna Jr.; sister, Mari-Luci Jaramillo; nephews, Rick Ulibarri and Ross Ulibarri and wife, Kristin; niece, Carla Ulibarri and husband, Mike Youngman; step-daughter, Mary Ann; grandnephews, Kevin Potter and wife, Gina and Geoffrey Smith; and her grandniece, Nicola Ulibarri. She will be deeply missed by all. A Rosary will be recited on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Garcia Mortuary. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday morning at 9:00 a.m. at Holy Ghost Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Maurilio "Bud" Antuna Jr., Ross Ulibarri, Rick Ulibarri, Mike Youngman, Kevin Potter ,and Geoffrey Smith.
