Edwin S. Dahl, 70, of 4102 Hawthorne Drive, Owensboro, KY, died Sunday, February 13, 2005, at St. Mary's Medical Center in Evansville, IN. He was born in Sayre, PA on August 6, 1934 to the late Per Adolf and Evelyn (Irons) Dahl. He was a truck driver for West Express for 13 years. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict and achieved the rank of captain. He was of the Lutheran faith. He was preceded in death by a son, Edwin Per Dahl and by a sister, Amalie Cecilia Dahl Hobbs. Survivors include his wife of 15 years, Sharon T. Dahl; seven children, Kathy S. Hughes of Rockport, IN, Berte Amalie Dahl of Palo Alto, CA, Bradley D. Troutman of Owensboro, KY, Mark L. Troutman of Utica, KY, Shannon R. Underwood of Calhoun, KY, Haakon Bjorn Dahl of Japan, Sonnin Helena Waters of Reno, NV; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a sister, Berte Helena Dahl of Mountainair, NM; four nephews; and one niece. Graveside Services are at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, February 18, 2005 at Mountainair, NM. There will be no local Owensboro visitation or service. James H. Davis Funeral Home in Owensboro, KY is in charge of local arrangements. Harris-Hanlon Mortuary in Mountainair, NM is in charge of services in New Mexico.
