Obituary for KELSEY

Ronnie Patrick Kelsey passed away on his 73rd birthday in Albuquerque, NM at the Veterans Administration Hospital February 6, 2005. He was born in Gallup, New Mexico. He graduated from Sacred Heart Cathedral High School in 1950 in Gallup. Ronnie served in the U.S. Navy for 4 years as Quarter Master Second Class during the Korean War. He served aboard the USS Essex, USS Point Cruz, and the USS Curtiss. He was employed for 30 years as a plant operator with El Paso Natural Gas Co. just east of Gallup, then retired to live in Albuquerque for the past 18 years. Ronnie met the love of his life, Maura "Dolly" Archuleta in Albuquerque in 1952. They spent 52 years together and raised six children. Ronnie was a very loving and thoughtful man always putting his family first. He loved to joke around and had a non-stop sense of humor. He made everyone around him feel loved and accepted. He truly has a beautiful spirit. He was preceded in death by his mother, Corinne Myers of Gallup; his father Louie Kelsey, of Zuni, NM; and his nephew, Christopher Barros. He is survived by his loving wife, Maura Olivia Kelsey, four sons: Keith Kelsey and fiance, Janelle, Kevin Kelsey and wife, Regina, Kenneth Kelsey and wife, Joni, and Karl Kelsey and Kimberly; two daughters, Karen Zweiacher and husband, Greg, and Kathy Kelsey and Mark. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; one nephew, Martin Barros; and a sister-in-law, Diana Anderson; and many wonderful friends, relatives, and Muffy. We all loved Ronnie more than words could express and we will miss him deeply. A viewing will be held at French Mortuary at 10500 Lomas Boulevard NE in Albuquerque, N.M. on Wednesday February 9, 2005 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Graveside Services will be held at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery at 1900 Edith Blvd. NE in Albuquerque, N.M. at 11:00 a.m. French Mortuary 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE 275-3500
