Obituary for BOUGHTON

Judy Boughton, beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend and co-worker, died Wednesday, February 2, 2005 at age 61 after a short illness. Judy was born on Sunday, June 27, 1943 in Minneapolis, MN and lived around the world, including Dowagiac, MI; at Michigan State University; New Orleans; the U.S. Island Territory of Guam; and most recently, Albuquerque, NM. She was employed by the Albuquerque Public School System as an occupational therapist serving in the Valley High School Cluster. Judy loved her profession and helped many students throughout her career. Judy was a gentle, kind and quietly wise lady who loved her family and friends dearly. She enjoyed life to the fullest, particularly traveling, lace-making, cats, shopping, fine dining, dark chocolate, Earl Grey tea, and taking long baths in front of the fireplace with a good romance or mystery novel. Judy was equally loved in return and she will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her husband of almost 40 years, George; her son, Eric, of Seattle; her daughter, Kristina "Nina," of Washington, DC; her mother, Julie Lund, of Dowagiac, MI; her brother, Ken Lund, of Hong Kong; brothers and sisters-in-law, Lene and Bill and Steve and Cathy of Michigan; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins and their families; two beloved pets, Cali and China; and many, many friends. Her father, Trig, preceded her in death on December 17, 2004. A memorial service for Judy will be held on Thursday, February 10, 2005, at 7:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE.
