Obituary for MCBRIDE

Viola Provencher, 84, resident of Albuquerque since 1952, passed away peacefully in her sleep and was welcomed into heaven. She was born in San Rafael, NM and grew up in Gallup, NM. She graduated from Regina school of Nursing in 1942 and worked for ATSF railroad hospital in Albuquerque for 30 years. Her life was one of love and dedication to her family, friends and patients. She traveled extensively in Europe, Mexico and Costa Rica, she enjoyed adventure. She is survived by her four children, Glen McBride, Eileen and husband, Trey, Michael and wife, Sandy, Elma and husband, Patrick; nine grandchildren, Lisa, Michael, Jason, Daniel, Melanie, Marcie, Lee, Mark and James; many nieces, nephews, family and friends. She was a friend to all who knew her and she was loved by all. A visitation will be held Sunday, February 6, 2005 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Strong-Thorne Mortuary. Services will be held Monday, February 7, 2005 at the Holy Ghost Catholic Church; a Rosary will be recited at 8:30 a.m. with a Mass beginning at 9:00 a.m. A committal will follow at the Gate of Heaven mausoleum.
